I’ve waited months to write these words. These words mark the start of something bigger. I know in my bones it is bigger than just a blog series.
So here it is, plain and simple:
The becoming series launches April 13th.
And I couldn’t be more ready—or more honored—to invite you along for the ride.
Why I Created becoming
This series was born from lived experience. From scars that haven’t faded. From healing that isn’t linear. From questions I asked in the middle of the night when silence screamed louder than truth.
I’ve been told to be quiet more times than I can count. Told I was too sensitive. Too broken. Too much. Not enough.
So I stopped asking permission.
Becoming is my answer to all of it.
It’s not a polished highlight reel. It’s not about pretending to be okay. This series is about the mess, the beauty, the grit, and the grief. The joy somehow still rises through it all.
It’s about transformation, but not the “before and after” kind. It’s about the in between.
The part where most of us actually live.
Our Mascot Is a Platypus for a Reason
Now if you’ve been following along for a bit, you’ve probably noticed the platypus popping up here and there. No, it’s not random. Yes, it’s 100% intentional.
See, the platypus defies every category. It doesn’t fit the mold. People thought it was a joke when they first discovered it—like nature had accidentally hit “shuffle.”
And that’s exactly why it’s perfect.
The platypus reminds us that we don’t have to make sense to anyone else. We can be soft and sharp, strange and stunning, silent and strong. We don’t owe anyone an explanation for existing exactly as we are.
Becoming isn’t about fitting in. It’s about embracing your inner platypus—and owning every damn part of your story.
What You’ll Get From This Series
Starting April 13th, I’ll be dropping new blog posts that dive into what it really means to become. Not just in a feel-good Instagram way—but in a full-body, soul-shaking, truth-telling way.
Topics I’ll be exploring:
- Shame and stigma (the kind that lingers in your bones)
- Surviving and healing from trauma
- Neurodiversity and identity
- Masculinity, queerness, disability, and power
- What it means to be seen—and to see yourself clearly for the first time
Some posts will be heavy. Others will be playful. Some will make you cry (they made me cry writing them). But all of them will be rooted in something real.
And if you’re wondering if you’re “allowed” to be here… you are.
This space is for anyone who’s felt like the odd one out. The too-much. The not-enough. The misunderstood. The in-process.

This isn’t a lecture. It’s a conversation. I want to hear your stories. Your insights. Your reactions. Together, we’re building something bigger than any single post.
A Little Teaser…
I won’t spoil too much, but here are a few titles I’m really excited to share:
- “I Was Never the Problem” – A deeply personal piece about unlearning shame and reclaiming the narrative.
- “Stigma Is a Life Sentence” – Why silence kills, and how breaking the cycle can save lives.
- “The Lost Art of Letter Writing” – On connection, time, and the power of showing up in unexpected ways.
- “What If Normal Was the Real Lie?” – A nod to the platypus (of course), and a challenge to everything we think we know about fitting in.
Each of these is a window into my world—and maybe yours, too.
This Isn’t Just a Blog. It’s a Movement.
Yeah, I said it.
Because when we tell the truth about our becoming, we give others permission to do the same. When we name the hard things, we take away their power. When we celebrate each other’s growth (even when it’s messy), we build something real.
We’re not performing. We’re not branding our pain for likes.
We’re becoming—loudly, softly, defiantly, and without apology.
And that? That’s a revolution.
Final Thoughts (for Now)
If you’ve read this far, thank you. Seriously. Thank you for being curious. For being open. For giving me your time and attention in a world full of noise.
April 13th is coming fast, and I can’t wait to walk this road with you.
So, whether you’re still crawling through your own cocoon, this space is for you. Or you’ve already sprouted wings but forgot how to fly—this space is for you.
And if nothing else, I hope you walk away from this series knowing what the platypus already figured out:
You don’t have to make sense to anyone else to be real, whole, and worthy.
We’re all becoming.
Let’s do it together.
