Donald J. Trump assumed the Office of President of the United States of America less than 24 hours ago. Since taking office he has:
*Rescinded 78 of Biden’s executive actions
*Declared a national emergency at the southern border of the United States
*Pardonded nearly 1,500 January 6, 2021 prisoners
*Withdrew from the World Health Organization
*Withdrew from the Paris climate agreement
*Ended all DEI programs in the federal government
*Designated cartels and gangs as terrorist groups
*Mandated that all federal employees must return to in-person work
*Established two and only two genders recognized by the federal government – Male and Female
*Ended protection for members of the LGBTQI+ community
I am quite honestly struggling to process all of this professionally and personally. Having spent over twenty years in the political arena, the rapidity of these policies’ implementation astounds me. Some of the changes are undoing decades of work.
